I used ddrescue for recovering data from 1 tb external network (wd mybook live)which has been configured as raid1 device attaching directly to machine using sata.after recovering 562 gb of data as image (I run the command ddrescue /dev/sda4 /mountpoint),it keeps on waiting with the message recovering splitting and it never ends.for about 3 days this message was there and I stopped ddrescue.but after stopping it, the destination harddisk partition to which I have been taking backup is not shown while providing fdisk -l command.and when I try to copy the rescued image file, it shows input out error.what is the reason for this error.Please provide a solution.Also guide me how to recover bad sectored raid1 drive with ddresue.Thanks in advance.
