Very nicely done, worked "out of the box" here on my U12.10
        system.

Would it be possile to package it so that it extracts to a
unique directory, as opposed to the current-path?
        ie, ./ddrescueview-0.3/

Anyhow, a very useful tool, I know I'll be using it a lot.

A feature question, is there any way that you can determine the
placement of the sectors physically on the drive platters
(geometrically) such that if you viewed them you could see if
you're dealing with a damaged track (ring), failing surface
layer (expanding blob[s]), or bad head (everything) etc? Not
really needed, just thought it'd be curious to ask.

Again, well done, fantastic visual compliment to a wonderful
        tool.
