Hello Chevy,

I've seen the latest version and the extra info on the recovery process is
very nice :D Thanks!

You are welcome. :-)

I've been trying to get my head around the -i and the -o switches but I
don't understand them. I'm on the process of rescuing a drive and it is now
cloning the end of the drive. I would like to focus the recovery process on
the beginning of the HDD but really don't know how to do that with the -i
and -o switches. How should I do it?

It is easy. Use the -i option to mark the beginning of the rescue area, and -s to mark the size of the rescue area. Never use -o in a rescue (it is just for advanced uses). That is all. :-)

PS: Do you have a forum where I could ask for help? I really don't wanna
bother you with my lack of knowledge :P

Just search for 'ddrescue'. There are lots of forums an tutorials in the net.

Best regards,
Antonio.
