Hi together, I'm new to this list and hope to be at the right place. I'd like to know if there's a possibility within GNU diff (I checked diffutils 3.2) to fail fast (i.e. return with and exit code != 0) after the first difference has been found in the file or any file (in a recursive diff). I know that I could listen to output on stdout, but this wouldn't be within diff.
