could you please update your man page, because from my point of view the
description could be misunderstood.

e.g.
-b prints only the first different byte number and character, not all
differing bytes.
-l prints all differences
I have two files and i hope it is visible what I mean.
cat text1
sein test ist mies
cat text2
kein test ist dies
cmp -i 0:1 -b text1 text2
text1 text2 sind verschieden: Zeichen 1, Zeile 1 ist 163 s 153 k
cmp -i 0:1 -l text1 text2
1 163 153
15 155 144
cmp -i 0:1 -bl text1 text2
1 163 s 153 k
15 155 m 144 d
