Hello.
I recognize that 'ed' is being preserved more or less as is for those
programmers and others who are used to the same application as they have used
for many years.
As a long-time fan of vi, I recently discovered ed, and am impressed by its
simplicity and usefulness. Truly, small is beautiful, so thank you for your
work on the program.
Are there any "wonder features" that people have requested be added to ed over
the years, or something you think is missing that could greatly enhance it's
popularity or functionality? This is a serious question, and no insult or humor
is intended.
If you have time, I would like to find out what you think. Otherwise, thank you
again for an excellent little program.
