Oh no! More win-shells, more different escaping rules. At least in
Unix-world you can reason about it. In Vin-vorld it seems inscrutable,
probably insoluable. If you can do #ifdef _WIN32 it's nice to give
something that works "as best one can" for the people still in that
mire, but there's little hope, so let's do the best we can for the
poor saps. Statistically, the win32 downloads of sox_ng are as many as
the source code downloads, so in practice we still have to support the
poor weebs and do our best.
