Dear Sir,
I mount a Windows98 32-bit partition to /home directory as root in RED HAT linux 5.2 with file type vfat. The right of /home like this: "drwxr-xr-x 2 root         root   .....". As I want to everyone has right to write on this hard driver, I use "chmod a+w /home", but the write right of /home is not changed. I try "chmod 777 /home" and it does not work also. I also mounted the file system as MSDOS, chmod can't change the write setting either.
I think this maybe the bug of chmod on vfat or msdos system.
How can I change write right of a MS-DOS partition file system under Linux? I hope your advice.

Yours Sincerely

Carl
