hi, i have cygwin 1.3.18 running on win2k. i also have some problems with chmod.
**$ ls -l total 1 drwxr-xr-x 2 Administ None 0 Sep 30 20:13 grass.src -rw-r--r-- 1 Administ None 2 Jan 10 09:21 test **$ chmod +x test **$ ls -l total 1 drwxr-xr-x 2 Administ None 0 Sep 30 20:13 grass.src -rw-r--r-- 1 Administ None 2 Jan 10 09:21 test the chmod did NOT make the file executable. wonder why? i have tried other permutations and combinations, but to no avail. thanks for your help, cygwin is really helpful, harsh ps- you may also recommend websites that are a good reference _______________________________________________ Bug-fileutils mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-fileutils
