Hi Sirs,

Please help me figure out this problem !! Thanks.

I'm running linux-2.4.3-pre3/linux-2.4.18 on idt79rc32334 cpu with
redhat 7.1 root file system (via nfs).

Enclosures are the log files of console.

2.4.3-pre3-trace.txt is the log of booting of:
CPU: IDT 79RC32V334
Kernel version : 2.4.3-pre3 from idt Corp.
root file system: redhat 7.1 for mipsel

2.4.18-trace.txt is the log of booting of:
CPU: IDT 79RC32V334
Kernel version : 2.4.18 from idt Corp.
root file system: redhat 7.1 for mipsel

In above two cases, the only difference is the kernel version and root
file system is mounted
via nfs.

But the later case (linux-2.4.18) will cause some commands (rm,
pam_console_apply, ...)
"Segmentation fault" and can't login to system.

In addition, I build another redhat 7.3 root file system, and the result
is the same (Segmentation fault happens).

Thank you very much.

regards,
