locdb-solaris.old is attached. Building this db using "updatedb --old-format" flushed out another bug in 4.2.26. The first line of updatedb is

and around line 249 we have
if ! bigrams=ktemp -t updatedbXXXXXXXXX then
However (sadly), the solaris bin/sh doesn't support the "!" operation.
