Hello!
I'm using a Suse 9.3 Personal Edition and did install from my DVD the package
findutils-locate.
If I try to search a file the output is following:
ewien-ogu:/home/ogu # locate index.html
locate: /var/lib/locatedb: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
but locate itself might work because:
ewien-ogu:/home/ogu # locate
Usage: locate [-d path | --database=path] [-e | --existing]
[-i | --ignore-case] [-w | --wholename] [-b | --basename]
[--limit=N | -l N] [-S | --statistics] [-0 | --null] [-c | --count]
[-P | -H | --nofollow] [-L | --follow] [-m | --mmap ] [ -s | --stdio ]
[-r | --regex ] [--version] [--help] pattern...
Could you please help me???
