I think there is a problem with solving {} brackets to files name after ">"
char is used ...

kuku1 kuku2
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/poligon$ find . -name "kuku*" -exec file {} > {}.tmp \;
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/poligon$ ls
kuku1 kuku2 {}.tmp
