I find that this is the aspect of the GNU coding standards with which I have most trouble complying. The pattern seems unnatural to me and I just often seem not to remember to put the space in. This means that the findutils code often doesn't have a space, but some parts do have spaces because I occasionally remember. The resulting mixture is not very aesthetically appealing.
