Just one more comment:

s/similar to -L/same as -L/
(It is not just similar, it is exactly the same as when MAX-LINES
is specified, and the but explains the other case.)

And maybe also:
s/equivalent to -E END/same as -E END/

(Personally, I would quote '-E END', it makes it easier to read;
and would then also quote in "same as '--replace=R'" and in
"same as '-L'" -- in my translations I alwasy do this, it is clearer;
but the English help texts almost never do this, so it's okay to let
it be.)
