That's great! I'll bet it would be a useful reference and starting point for potential implementers (myself included). I have to admit that this feature isn't top priority for me at the moment (-exec, although not ideal, works well enough for my current needs), so there is no hurry. But I would like to help implement it eventually and I do think your code could be useful (to me and others) if you have a chance to post it.
