Hi, We have installed gdb-4.18 on our Solaris X86 PCs. uname -a: SunOS avocado.csil.sfu.ca 5.6 Generic_105182-17 i86pc i386 i86pc The installation went fine, but every time we are trying to use it on any machine, we get the following error: GNU gdb 4.18 Copyright 1998 Free Software Foundation, Inc. GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it under certain conditions. Type "show copying" to see the conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for GDB. Type "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "i386-pc-solaris2.6"... (no debugging symbols found)... (gdb) run Starting program: /usr/local/bin/zip /proc/6483/ctl: Permission denied /proc/6483/status: No such file or directory. can't open process file (gdb) Any advice on the matter would be really appreciated.
