Hello: I'm having serious troubles on some old Suns I'm trying to mess
around with.
I've installed GNU/Debian Linux 2.2r3 (potato) and can't seem to get gdb
to work.
It seriously hoses any machines whenever I try to use it to debug even
the tinyest
program compiled with g77. Here is some configuration info
Linux Mingus 2.2.19 #1 Mon Apr 2 13:29:46 EDT 2001 sparc unknown

Hardware Info:
'SUNW,Sun 4/50'

fpu : Fujitsu or Weitek on-chip FPU

Now it is true that all of these machines have the Weitek Power-UP chip
installed.
Does this make a difference? I need to be able to run Fortran on these
machines
for them to be at all useful for me. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
