Details:
After successfully installing gforth from git, it would not run (though it ran
fine in-place), complaining that it could not find gforth.fi. Indeed, that
file was nowhere to be found under the installation tree (in my case,
~/.local).
After manually copying it to one of the locations searched (in my case
~/.local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu), gforth started up fine.
