Since I needed this problem (
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-global/2007-10/msg00002.html)
fixed, I made a change to token.c to address it.  This is probably not
the proper solution since peekc() is generic and my change makes it only
usable by C/C++/Java but these parsers seem to be the only ones using it
in 5.6.2.  I have attached the fix for your info in case it is of use to
you.
