Greetings GNU Chess team!

A few years ago I built a FreeBSD server that is basically used for ongoing
learning to keep my skills sharp in the tech world. Basically, just a hobby
project for fun.

One if the main purposes of this server is simply to host GNU chess, accessed
remotely through Apache and PHP. I created a primitive HTML interface to play
GNU chess remotely on my phone/laptop that way I dont have to SSH into the
server to play chess, or keep a version of GNU Chess locally on my devices.

When I developed this interface, prior to GNU chess version 6.3 being released,
GNU chess did not report errors regarding the gnuchess.ini file. At this point
I'm unable to configure a workaround that points Apache/PHP to the gnuchess.ini
file.

My question is: Where would be a good place to start looking in the GNU Chess
source code to modify GNU Chess's behavior on startup to not look for this file
or to fix the location sought by GNU chess upon initialization, as running
gnuchess -u is not practical for my needs?

Thank you all so much for the hard work that's been done on this project over
the years. It's greatly appreciated!

I run the server without a domain name at 69.146.84.24:50200

Kindest Regards!
