Managed to compile (and run) in WinXP thanks to Jon's infos and scripts. Besides the problems I've already sent to Jon (some strange Gdk warnings at runtime, 'Copy' to clipboard doesn't works from the hint window or the analysis panel for a move but works for a cube decision, entering a command usually crash, error when compiling with -O3) I've noticed that the evaluation/analysis is two times slower (same settings) thant with my "old" gnubg build (the setup archive available at www.gnubg.org). Taking a look at the two .gbubgautorc files I've noticed that the "old" one has pruning on while the new one hasn't : can this be the reason ? If yes, how do I switch pruning on from the GUI (is the "set" command the only way ?!) ? If not, may it be due to the different gtk version (1.3 vs 2.x) ?
Also, can I compile with python support ? If yes, how (guess that uncomment "#define USE_PYTHON 1" in config.h is the first step) ? which python should I install and where/how ?
