There does seem to be an introduced problem (Christian has a similar issue).
Can you change rollout.c, line 1179 to
int updateProgress = fShowProgress && pfProgress;
and see if this fixes it?
It doesn't. No visible change, neither in a fast rollout with a few
iterations/second nor in a slower one.
