I guess you have to change the lex/yacc files. I don't suggest you revert the patch. The push/poplocale solution had deeper and worse problems. I have absolutely no time to look at this now. I'm overloaded of work and studies. So if you (or someone else) can take a look at the lex/yacc things, I think that will be the best thing.
