Hello again,

I tried gnubg with 3dboards, this time using a nVidia card (GeForce 5200, or somesuch), and there is no crash. I suppose it's either something with ATI's driver, or AIGLX.

Hello,

I reported this issue at least over a month ago, and nobody replied. It clearly has something to do with OpenGL installation. The message:

libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x46

is not the problem, because I have other apps using OpenGL which throw the same message, but they are running fine. It might have something to do with ATi's drivers on Linux (other *nix too, perhaps?), as I have an ATi card. My gut tells me it's something with AIGLX and it's direct rendering, but I am really not entirely sure. I will try and test with a nVidia card to see if the same problem arises sometime this weekend. Any help would be appreciated. For now, you should compile without board3d until a proper fix is in place.

This message looks suspect. I wonder what graphics card/os you are
using? My guess is that openGL isn't (fully) supported on your setup.
