Threads are only implemented for analysis and rollouts. It is possible that
we could start individual threads for each move candidate to be evaluated at
4 ply, but it hasn't been a priority yet since GNU backgammon is already an
excellent player on 2 ply and nobody really knows how much better 4 ply
would be.
