I think the gnubgautprc file will be fine, had made the line ending
translation changed last fall.
I was moving config files between both.
I do not know how match files (etc) will do, I did not test them.

If both were running the current devel version it would be fairly
straight forward to add a link from one .gnubg dir to the other. But
in the 0.15 version provided by ubuntu I'm not sure it would work to
make a link between the .gnubgautorc files.
Could I get both into sync manually (as in making sure both versions
are identical?)
Lastly, is this something that would be of benefit to the community
(to get them to a common code set)? It was so refreshing to see
Thunderbird and Firefox work so fluidly simply by telling one instance
to get its profile from the other instance. Valhalla would be to
simply have one executable that both could load but obviously that's a
major hurdle.
