That sounds strange. Could you provide us with a little more details: XP/Vista, number of cpu cores, specifics about the rollout that crashes the program.
Also bear in mind that your settings are kept in your personal folder (C:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\.gnubg I believe) and are not overwritten by a reinstall. Christian.
