Paolo,
I have not had any problems with gnubg in 2-d view. Is there a
specific action that causes the freeze?

Hello Paolo,
What type of Mac computer are you using? Are you using the 3-d
view or the 2-d view? Does gnubg simply freeze, or does it crash?
If it crashes, you should be able to use the Console utility to
locate a crash report; look under LOG FILES, ~/Library/Logs,
Crash Reporter.
There is an Apple bug that causes gnubg to crash after a while on
my MacBook in 3-d view. I reported this to Apple and I believe
they have fixed the bug, but the fix will be part of OS X 10.5.6.
