Dear gnubg-mailing-list, Since this is my first post, hello everybody.
i played gnubg for over a year on an intel-mac and admire the program. However, i am now trying to compile gnubg on a ppc with gentoo and i can't get the 3d-board running. I would love to run some 0.90* with 3d. Maybe you know of something that i might try. This is what i got: - USE-flag "opengl" is set and glxgears works fine, but the latest gentoo-ebuild (gnubg-14.3) and opengl won't work and seems buggy. I then did emerge all dependencies (incl. ftgl and gtkglext) for 14.3-ebuild and tried to build 15.*, 0.90* and latest SNAPSHOT by configure/make/make install. - stable 15.* builds and installs, but crashes when trying to change settings/appearance. - gnubg-0.9.0-1.tar.gz won't compile and make will quit with output: #neuralnet.c: In function 'SSE_Supported': #neuralnet.c:638: error: unknown register name '%edx' in 'asm' #neuralnet.c:638: error: unknown register name '%ecx' in 'asm' #neuralnet.c:638: error: unknown register name '%eax' in 'asm' #make[2]: *** [neuralnet.lo] Error 1 #make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/gnubg/lib' #make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 #make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/gnubg' #make: *** [all] Error 2 - most important: - gnubg-source-SNAPSHOT-20090119.tar (as well as *20090117.tar) do compile and install, but do only work without 3d-support (meaning gtkglext must be uninstalled while building snapshot and therefore there is no 3d; the possible 2d gnubg runs very good (at least *20090117)). When i try to build snapshot with 3d-support, it will compile and install, but won't run and quit upon start with message: #set gui showids on #(No game) (No game) gnubg: tnl/t_save_api.c:490: _save_upgrade_vertex: Assertion `oldsz == 0' failed. #Aborted If you have any ideas, in which way to approach this, i will be happy to try it out. Note, these are two different problems; solving only one (eg. 0.90 or SNAPSHOT) is ok with me. I can also provide you some config, system details if you think, they might be of help. Is it possible, that i have missed some dependencies? -- Fabian R. _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
