It also happens with single threat, and not only the build on gnubg.org, but also self build on Vista. And Ubuntu 8.10 build with 20090308 snapshot also freezes, without threats and with threats.
GNU Backgammon freezes (Vista and Ubuntu) after Hint, RollOut, stop the rollout. Reproduction: Start a match with tutor mode on. When it is your turn, click for dice, ask for a hint and select a couple of moves. Choose RollOut and stop the rollout after a short while. You can't close the roll out window now. N.
