Hi Hardy, I encountered the same problem a few days ago (when CVS was down) and committed a fix for it this morning.
http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/gnubg/gnubg/html.c?r1=1.213&r2=1.214 If you can build from CVS source it should be resolved, otherwise you'll have to wait for the next windows release.
