Thx! Compiles for me now, making it possible to compile a mon-GTK version (haven't tested a GTK build) with Cygwin straight from gnubg CVS sources.
I've tested with Cygwin 1.7.0-58, which is one of the last betas before they do the upgrade from 1.5.x to 1.7.x. This release will give up Win95/98 compatibility and add a lot of improvements. Haven't tested with Cygwin 1.5.x anymore. See: http://cygwin.com/1.7/cygwin-ug-net/ov-new1.7.html Unlike with 1.5.x two autobild glitches did not happen with 1.7.x: 1) autoconf no longer tries to link with non-existent libresolv 2) python is configured and linked correctly. These two problems could have been a result of my old and too often updated Cygwin installation as well. Didn't bother to test that either, as 1.7.x built it out of the box.
