HI Blu, I contacted Xavier (XG developer) and he mentioned that he supports the pasting of multiline Gnubg ID¹s into XG (And has for some time). I tried It on my XG Version 1.11 and it does work. He has suggested that GnuBG should probably support the pasting of XG ID's (Seems like a reasonable request). This was Xaviers response to my email:

The import of Gnu Id was done long ago and initially was only accepting the 2 lines format. When it changes in GnuBG I added the support of a single line. I can copy the text form the mail your forwarded in XG without problem. I also copy from GnuBG (latest build just to make sure) a position to the clipboard and paste it successfully in XG. Maybe the user did not select the full string, for a 2 lines position it important to copy the full line including the ³Position ID² part. It could be that I am missing something but as far as I can see all is well and good importing from GnuBG to XG (btw the reverse would be nice feature to add in GnuBG ;-) ) On 01/01/10 4:49 PM, "Blu" <[email protected]> wrote: > Copying to clipboard the Gnubg id generates an output like this: > > Position ID: 4HPwATDgc/ABMA > Match ID: cAn1AAAAAAAA > > This is not compatible with import in other bots (i.e. eXtremeGammon), the > string expected in this case is: > > 4HPwATDgc/ABMA:cAn1AAAAAAAA (Position ID:Match ID) as seen in Gnubg screen. > > I suppose this is a recent change, because any months ago the format of the > string copied to clipboard was correct. > > It¹s possible to restore the format as it was? > > Thank you. > > > Andrea Garau > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Bug-gnubg mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
