Aha... That was my code, years back.....(I'm not proud of that code now). It
was before we utilised glib routines for such things. Can we clean this up a
bit? Maybe every thing that exports a text string to to clipboard should be
redesigned and written more general?

PS: Now I remember why I wrote it like that. I think it was because a
function I used (drawboard?) took a file pointer as an argument. However I
can't find this function in the code today.... :-)
