What is the effect of stopping a 0-ply rollout, increasing the

example, just for the two top candiate plays?

The rollout carries on for these candidates with the original parameters. If you want to re-rollout some moves with other settings, you must clear the rollout analysis for them first (for instance by doing a 0- or 2-ply evaluation of them).

In other wards, istead of of doing a new 2-ply rollout for the two
top plays, simply change the rollout ply setting and continue.

Doing some number of trials at 0-ply then some more at 2-ply doesn't seem very sensible.
