Unfortunately perception is nine tenths of reality. 3 different users in
1 weeks (one publicly) questioned the integrity of GNUBG on this very
matter. Despite telling them this is an idiosyncrasy with XG2 - To the
uninformed it does look like a bug on our side and they do perceive it
that way.

The idea of a popup/prompt may not be a bad idea.
