I was ambiguous, I meant the latest development builds, not the official release. Developers work on versions more up to date than what is made available for download. When the time is right the changes that developers are making make their way into official releases. So you must wait until we officially roll out the next releasr (hopefully by Sunday) > When will there be a newer Windows built? > > Next I tried your workaround trick. > Unfortunately I could NOT enter anything inth the message pane. > It is somehow blocked for input. > > Because I must have been half awake. I meant to have you turn on View Menu/Panels>/"COMMAND". I was in error telling you "Messages". That should give you the prompt in the bottom right where you can type: Save Settings (and then hit Enter) As for automatically saving the window position, and the panes when GNUBG is closed - that won't be going in the next release. There are some issues (questions) that I have for some of the other developers before I make the change. However, if you use the work around above (With the Command pane) before you exit GNUBG you can issue "Save settings", and it will save all the Pane Settings and sizes. -- Michael Petch GNU Backgammon Maintainer / Developer OpenPGP FingerPrint=D81C 6A0D 987E 7DA5 3219 6715 466A 2ACE 5CAE 3304 _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
