After downloading the X11 package from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/ did you open the DMG and then run the package installer that was inside. After it is installed you will need to reboot your system to make sure X11 is properly installed. On OS/X Yosemite (10.10.x) you will need to download the Yosemite version of GNUbg from the site (Other versions will not run on Yosemite). The downloads can be found here: http://www.gnubg.org/index.php?itemid=22 In particular you want the 1.04.000 release for 10.10.x Yosemite. The direct link to that file is here: http://gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg-1_04_000-mac-1010-x86_64.dmg You need to open up the DMG file above and then you MUST copy the GNUbg application to the /Applications folder. It will not run from anywhere else. If you don't copy it to /Applications it will never work (This is part of the README file inside the DMG file). Once you have properly copied it to /Applications then launch the GNUbg from /Applications and then wait 3-4 minutes the first time it is run. OS/X needs to resolve some things with the GNUbg application so the first time it is loaded it will load slow. Let me know how you make out. -- Michael Petch GNU Backgammon Maintainer / Developer OpenPGP FingerPrint=D81C 6A0D 987E 7DA5 3219 6715 466A 2ACE 5CAE 3304 _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list Bug-gnubg@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
