The various Windows builds are accessible directly at http://files.gnubg.org/media/windows/ What you got is the last released 1.05 Windows version. There were some 1.05 development builds that didn't led to a release, the latest being gnubg-1_05_001-dev5-20150928-setup.exe Even if it is not an official release, this file would be a better choice since it fixes some bugs and has no known regressions. After a two years hiatus there was an officiel 1.06.001 version, gnubg-1_06_001-20171216-setup.exe but it suffers from a major bug on Windows (it crashes if used on anything but a fairly small screen). It might work for you depending on your laptop resolution but would probably crash if you use an external screen. Finally there is gnubg-1_06_001-dev-20180521-setup.exe that fixes the above bug and a few other problems and is (close to) what will be the forthcoming 1.06.002. I would be nice if you could use this last version and report potential blocking issues.
