I think you have to describe what you do get this error message. Is it when you start GNU Backgammon? From my hunch, I guess there is something bogus in your settings file. I'm actually not sure where and what the settings file is called? Is it .gnubgautorc? (If I'm wrong please correct me someone) Can you, if you find this file, mail it here to the mailing list?
