I have generated a new source tar ball that is available at: http://files.gnubg.org/media/sources/gnubg-release-1.06.002-sources.tar.gz
A MS Windows installer can be found here at: http://files.gnubg.org/media/windows/gnubg-1_06_002-20180802-setup.exe This version fixes the crashes that affect version 1.06.001 on Windows when the screen size is not relatively small. There is no change in the level of play or main analysis features. Other small fixes or improvements: - on Windows, support bearoff databases totalling more than 2GB in size. This is automatic on 64-bit versions of the OS, but see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/Memory/4-gigabyte-tuning if you wish to enable it on 32-bit versions. - on Windows, support PostgreSQL as external match statistics database. - on ARM processors, support NEON instructions. This is not enabled by default and has only been tested on Raspbian 9 on a Pi 3B. Speed gain on a match analysis is about 30%. - fixed export and import of .mat files containing beavers. Such files from JellyFish, Snowie and XG should import but not the flawed ones created by earlier versions of GNUbg (use .sgf files in this case). If exporting from GNUbg to other software, note that the latter may not support raccoons or further redoubles and may assume that beavers cannot be dropped. The Windows installer was build with a different toolchain from the one used by Michael Petch for the previous releases. As a consequence: - this version should no longer run on XP and may or may not do on Vista (untested). - due to different versions of the GTK graphical libraries, the look of the GUI is slightly different from that of the previous versions. - the minor version of the Python interpreter is different (major version is unchanged at 2.7). Python modules included with GNUbg may differ in more significant ways. _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
