Hi........ I want to set size and position of gnubg when started. It starts on right side of screen and is too tall. I'm running: System: Kernel: 5.4.0-96-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 9.3.0 Desktop: Cinnamon 5.0.7 wm: muffin dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 20.2 Uma base: Ubuntu 20.04 focal Graphics: Device-1: Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: i915 v: kernel bus ID: 00:02.0 chip ID: 8086:0412 Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.13 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev,vesa resolution: 1366x768~60Hz
I tried editing gnubgautorc........ set geometry main width 678 set geometry main height 975 set geometry main xpos 10 set geometry main ypos 32 ......with new values, but they just get changed back to what is shown above. I noted this warning at top of gnubgautorc: # # GNU Backgammon command file # generated by GNU Backgammon 1.06.002 Jan 25 2020 # # WARNING: The file 'gnubgautorc' is automatically generated the first time # settings are changed and will be overwritten with every subsequent change. # If you want to add startup commands manually, you should use 'gnubgrc' # instead.
