Is that covered with gnulib or coreutils tests? This was tested with the latest coreutils on FreeBSD 9.1 and 10.1 with the following without being flagged as an issue: http://git.sv.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gnulib.git;a=commitdiff;h=716083c thanks, Pádraig.
