I could not get the iPod to recognize the newly added mp3 file. I rebuilt the iTunesDB from the GNUtunesDB, but each time I restart the iPod, the iTunesDB file gets re-written. The GNUtunesDB file has the new mp3. The iPod labels it's software build as 1.0.2. If you need any help debugging this, I'd be happy to help.
