Hi,

I've got an iPod (5.5 gen video 60gb) that has only ever been used
with gnupod (freshly repartitioned/wiped with gnupod_INIT when I
bought it). Recently, after adding a set of three albums, I started
encountering this problem with any gnupod command:

$ mktunes.pl
mktunes.pl 0.98.3 (C) Adrian Ulrich
> Parsing XML and creating FileDB

not well-formed (invalid token) at line 5324, column 131, byte 2167892 at
/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux/XML/Parser.pm line 187

Apparently gnupod_addsong.pl wrote something that it (or XML::Parser)
cannot actually handle correctly. The write was with gnupod 0.98.3 - I
then tried 0.99.6, which fails with the same problem.

Any suggestions how to deal with this? (Besides wiping the ipod and
rebuilding everything from scratch, that is).

Jack
