Hi,

As you all know the new iPhone and iPod touch (version 2.x) use a new hash
schema to prevent non-iTunes software from managing the device.

However there seems to be a limited workaround by telling the playback
software on those devices that the database is in an older format:

If you own such a device please read the detailed Description
and give us feedback on the success / failure using that device with
gnupod. Please also read the comments as there are some limitations when it
comes to iTunes interoperability. (Wow, I used the words "iTunes" and
"interoperability" in one sentence. I hope Apple doesn't sue me out of
existence for that.)

cheers
