Hi Chris, Might be a problem with size but I don't know. I don't have access to the mailing list administration interface. :-(
If you "apply" replay gain before handling it over to gnupod/iTunes you change the whole game ... you change the sound data. gnupod and itunes don't realy look at the data. they only look at the meta data (the tags). If you put such a modified file on the ipod and listen to it, you can't say anymore if the change in volume is due to you changing the data or due to the player paying attention to the meta data. cheers -henrik On Sat, Jun 06, 2009 at 08:55:12AM +0200, chris.com wrote: > it seems I can't get thru > maybe my files are to big? > Chris > > > Hallo Heinrich, > I've made two more files with ReplayGains of +4.5 and +7.5 > The 9 files (-9, -6, -3, 0, +3, +4.5, +6, +7.5, +9) in the iPod > and lo! it seems that the shuffle rounds up the ReplayGain values to the > next integer. > If this is confirmed I'll try to apply (not lossless) the RG to the mp3 > before showing 'm to iTunes and see how it treats them. > > See you > Chris _______________________________________________ Bug-gnupod mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnupod
