I just did a full install -
1. make distclean
2. Remove all GNUSTEP environment variables and related info (eg PATH)
3. cvs -z3 update -Pd
4. configure --prefix=/usr/GNUstep
5. make debug=yes
6. su -c "make debug=yes install"
7. . /usr/GNUstep/System/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh
All worked fine.
My guess is that you have some environment variable or something sticking around
that is giving you grief.
A completely clean install should solve your problem.
If not - perhaps details ofg what actually went wrong (and in what context) would
give me (or someone else) a clue.
