Category: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Summary: Installation of wine on linux fools core By: jhepburn Date: 2002-Jun-08 05:43 Message: Logged In: NO Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020529 Platform: Mandrake Linux 8.2 on x86 gcc: 3.0 last CVS update of core: 6 June 2002 Problem: With a CVS version of Transmeta's WineX installed, core attempts to build itself for a win32 platform when installed with the compile_all script. The only problem is back attempting to build itself for win32 graphics, failing, and needing to be configured with --enable-server=x11 --enable-graphics=xlib. Has occurred with cvs snapshots of core for several weeks, problem only discovered recently when wine was uninstalled and gnustep apps would not start, complaining of: Error (objc-load):libgdi32.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. Installing wine from Mandrake 8.2 enables gnustep apps to run as normal. Cause: No idea, I'm not a programmer.
